A refreshing, juicy Grenache with the characteristic life and energy of all Anne's wines. With the vines situated at 450m (ensuring a freshness in the grapes) and a short 8 day maceration, the result is an easy drinking, low tannin red, that would pair perfectly with some tapas.
Whilst Anne Laure Sicard's first harvest of Mas Lasta came in 2016, she was by no means a rookie in the field, having obtained her diploma in oenology in Montpellier, and previously working at the prestigious Château Latour, along with numerous other winemakers the world over in Spain, Australia, Canada, Uruguay and Argentina. Back in Languedoc, she took over 9 hectares of vines located at 450m of altitude at the northern limit of Terrasses du Larzac. Hence the name of the domaine, Mas Lasta: the last vines.
