A hefty blend from Provence. Dark, brooding fruit, with punchy tannins, owing to the inclusion of Mourvèdre, along with Carignan and Syrah. Definitely one to have with food, or as an aperitif if you like a challenge!
Domaine Turenne is located in the heart of the "Golden Triangle" of Côtes de Provence, between Cuers and Pierrefeu (Var). It has been in the family since the beginning of the last century and now covers 20 hectares in AOC Côtes de Provence. For a while the grapes were sold to a co-operative, however Philippe and Cécile Benezet took over the estate in 1990, wishing to make their own wine. Come 1994 they had achieved this, with the creation of the cellar and the first vinification at the domain.
