From the 'lieu-dit' (i.e. a small geographical area bearing a traditional name, usually denoting good quality) of 'Les Déduits', this is Gamay in its purest expression. From a cool vintage, the wine is perfectly perfumed, with fine tannins and incredible length.
Founded in 1956, Julien Bertrand is the current incumbent of this highly reputable estate in Charentay - in the heart of Beaujolais. Operating across four of the ten 'crus' regions within Beaujolais (Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas and Moulin-à-Vent), every wine they produce is highly unique and reflective of their terroir and vintage.
