A direct press of Viognier and Roussanne - two archetypal lower acid grapes from southern France. Both beautifully aromatic and ripe, but the wine still only sits at 12% ABV - a rarity for the climate!
Cros des Calades might be new to our curated list in one way. But the couple running this project are more than familiar to us here at Plonk. Created by Florence and Benoît from the Château de la Selve, who we've worked with for a while now, this is a new négociant project we're delighted to have onboard. Whilst not their own grapes, the origins are just a few kilometres away from their estate in the South of the Rhône Valley. And of course, the philosophy is ever-present - respect for the terroir, to work organically and with minimalist intervention in the cellar - for a search of purity and freshness in their wines.
