Thanks to a warm, dry vintage, it’s packed with concentrated juicy red fruits like raspberries and cranberries that's balanced by a touch of violet, dried herbs, and bell pepper. The 8 months it spent in old French oak adds gentle tobacco, smokiness, and a hint of spice, finishing with soft tannins and a bright, refreshing lift. –Jennifer Bui

Set against the backdrop of the Hudson River—one of North America’s oldest fjords—Fjord Vineyards is nestled in the Hudson Highlands, between Storm King Mountain and Mount Beacon. This landscape creates a unique microclimate, enabling the cultivation of high-quality, cool-climate grapes in a region that might otherwise be too cold.
Founded in 2013 by Matthew Spaccarelli and Casey Erdmann, Fjord Vineyards emerged from their shared passion for crafting wines that reflect their home. With over a decade of expertise in the region, Matthew has forged a deep connection to the land, championing a sustainable approach to both viticulture and winemaking.
At Fjord Vineyards, sustainability is at the heart of everything they do. Matthew and Casey embrace environmentally conscious farming practices and are committed to minimising their ecological footprint to preserve the land for future generations.

We can deliver next business day to most postcodes* in mainland UK for FREE on orders of £100 or more. Shopping baskets totalling below £100 are charged at a flat rate of £9.99.
In most cases, DPD will deliver your wines. Occasionally, orders will be sent directly by our warehouse partner – London City Bond.
Deliveries are made Monday – Friday. Please contact us if you'd like to arrange a weekend delivery, subject to a surcharge.
Orders received BEFORE 1PM should expect next day delivery in most cases. An order placed AFTER 1PM will be fulfilled the following day and delivered the day after that. For example, orders placed after 1PM Thursday are fulfilled on Friday and will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 1PM Friday are fulfilled on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.
For one-off personalised orders purchased, Plonk will take the next 24 hours to select your wines and compile your tasting notes. Once complete, you’ll receive an email notifying you that the order has been fulfilled.
Plonk will email recipients of Plonk Personalised Gifts (Gift of Plonk) within 24 hours or purchase. The email used to complete the purchase will be bcc'd. Once the Plonk Quiz is completed by the gift recipient, Plonk will select wines, write the tasting notes and fulfil the order within 24 hours.
First time Plonk Subscribers will be contacted within 24 hours and their first instalment is usually fulfilled right away. Following your first order, your next instalment will be charged on the 28th of the month, and your wines fulfilled the following week (typically around the 5th of the month, depending on public holidays).
