ABOUT PLONK
Plonk was born from a simple belief: great wine shouldn’t take itself too seriously. From it's celebrated 2020 launch, Plonk set out to remove the fussiness from wine culture and make discovery fun again. What started as a small, scrappy project with a cheeky name and an even more cheeky attitude quickly grew into a community for curious drinkers—people who loved flavour, stories, and exploration over staid jargon.
Drink better. Have fun doing it. Plonk champions approachability, transparency, and the joy of finding something unexpectedly great in the glass. We reclaimed 'PLONK'.
A New Chapter
Today, plonk enters an exciting new era as part of Good Wine Good People (GWGP)—a like-minded, community-driven wine company built on enthusiasm, education, and human connection. Led by Dan Belmont and the GWGP team, plonk’s original spirit lives on, supported by strong producer relationships, thoughtful curation, and the same commitment to making wine accessible for everyone.

The name may feel cheeky, but the mission is sincere:
