Good things come to those who wait! This 2015 vintage spent 9 years on the lees and just disgorged late summer 2025. The balance is very impressive, fresh fruits still lead the palate, supported by toasty lees and tertiary development. Special stuff!
Perhaps one of the best value wines in our portfolio, DB visited the estate after a recommendation from a friend (who happens to be an MS), upon contacting the estate we learned that the proprietor had retired and handed the reigns over to Nicolas and Aurélie – Domaine la Melotine was born. The 15 hectare estate is rooted in the clay-and-flint soils of Reugny, boasting vines nearly a century old.

In the northeastern Vouvray appellation, Aurélie and Nicolas run Domaine La Melotine, their 15-hectare estate rooted in the clay-and-flint soils of Reugny. The husband-and-wife duo bring complementary backgrounds to their craft: Nicolas left his corporate career to study winemaking, later spending over ten years as cellar master in Sancerre before the couple found their home in Vouvray. Aurélie, whose background is in sales and logistics, joined him in pursuing their shared dream.
The estate’s vines, some approaching 100 years old, are tended with deep respect for their natural environment. Every decision in the vineyard and cellar reflects a desire to work in harmony with nature, allowing the terroir to shine through. Domaine La Mélotine is HEV certified, practicing sustainable viticulture that protects biodiversity, limits pesticide and fertiliser use, and preserves water resources.
In the cellar, patience defines their approach. Minimal intervention and long lees ageing allow each cuvée to reveal its character in full. The result is a range of wines that capture both the purity of place and the quiet dedication of the people behind them.

We can deliver next business day to most postcodes* in mainland UK for FREE on orders of £100 or more. Shopping baskets totalling below £100 are charged at a flat rate of £9.99.
In most cases, DPD will deliver your wines. Occasionally, orders will be sent directly by our warehouse partner – London City Bond.
Deliveries are made Monday – Friday. Please contact us if you'd like to arrange a weekend delivery, subject to a surcharge.
Orders received BEFORE 1PM should expect next day delivery in most cases. An order placed AFTER 1PM will be fulfilled the following day and delivered the day after that. For example, orders placed after 1PM Thursday are fulfilled on Friday and will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 1PM Friday are fulfilled on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.
For one-off personalised orders purchased, Plonk will take the next 24 hours to select your wines and compile your tasting notes. Once complete, you’ll receive an email notifying you that the order has been fulfilled.
Plonk will email recipients of Plonk Personalised Gifts (Gift of Plonk) within 24 hours or purchase. The email used to complete the purchase will be bcc'd. Once the Plonk Quiz is completed by the gift recipient, Plonk will select wines, write the tasting notes and fulfil the order within 24 hours.
First time Plonk Subscribers will be contacted within 24 hours and their first instalment is usually fulfilled right away. Following your first order, your next instalment will be charged on the 28th of the month, and your wines fulfilled the following week (typically around the 5th of the month, depending on public holidays).
