A big ol', spicy Nero d'Avola. 2022 was a warm vintage, leading to deep, intense flavour development. Thanks to the vines here being at altitude though, the grapes didn't over-ripen, meaning a couple of glasses won't blow your head off - thankfully!
Vigneti Zabù is a young estate in southwestern Sicily, whose vineyards caught the eye and winemaking talents of Valentino Sciotti. Valentino (of Gran Sasso and Vesevo) saw they had great vineyards and a good winery but were missing the necessary expertise to make wines the market required. Valentino and his team of young winemakers have taken the raw materials and transformed them into wines that people really want to drink.
