    DESCRIPTION

Terre à Terre Piccadilly Red 2019. Probably one of the most unique Australian reds to get to the UK - a blend of Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Mondeuse and Merlot. The fruit comes off vines from the sub-region of Piccadilly in the Adelaide Hills. Two specific vineyards at 500m altitude are the specific locations. The management of these vineyards is strict and mirrors processes in the Crayères Vineyard. Hand harvesting, hand pruning, shoot thinning and green harvesting to control yields.

Once harvested, the fruit is chilled for 3 days. It's then crushed and transferred into open top fermenters. The must is macerated for 4 days before being inoculated with yeast. Plunging takes place once a day until fermentation finishes. The must is then gently pressed, racked to old French oak barrels where it undergoes Malo. Finally, 10 months ageing takes place before being carefully racked and bottled without filtration.

Trousseau Noir, indigenous to the Jura, with Pinot Noir, Mondeuse and Merlot. It's juicy and vibrant, crunchy tannin, spicy and concentrated. Red berries and cherries with a touch of herbaceous-ness. Small production with only 3,180 bottles produced. We shipped 24 bottles of the 2019 direct from the winery and it's banging!
