Terrafusa Storta 2018 is the prime example of small-batch wine. 2,800 bottles made in 2018 off of volcanic soils in Sicily. Vineyards reach 870m in altitude which helps retain acidity and freshness. It's essentially a traditional field blend of three grape varieties - two red and one white. Harvested and processed together in stainless steel. However, no animal products are used during fining and filtration, making this wine vegan friendly. Low intervention and minimal sulphur used therefore taking care to make the wine stable though. All of this emphasises the fruit purity from the vineyards.
The Storta rosé on the nose is fragrant, floral and complex. Fresh red berry fruit and herbs upfront. A nice crisp palate with layered with texture to boot. Nice long length with a scented finish.
