The Vignes de L’Eglise wines are made by Matt Thomson and Alana McGettigan at the excellent Cave de Pomérols co-operative in the Picpoul de Pinet region. Influenced by breezes off the Mediterranean coast, the area around Pomérols is cooler than much of the rest of the Languedoc.
This super fresh Vermentino is clean and bright, an aromatic wine that is full of vibrant fresh fruit. Aromas of peach, mango, pineapple and pear intermingle and follow through onto the palate which is balanced and long. Give it a go!
