The 2016 L.A. Cetto Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is sourced from vineyards that are more than 40 years old.
The wine is initially elegant with complex aromas of black ripe fruits and spicy notes of tobacco, vanilla, and anise. The palate confirms its spicy character with notes of leather, cocoa, tobacco, and a toasty finish. It's velvety with good tannin structure that provides the wine with opulence and complexity.
L.A. Cetto was founded in 1928 by an Italian named Angelo Cetto, who brought his winemaking skills from his native Trentino to the lands of Baja California. It is run today by third generation Luis Alberto, who expertly continues to grow the reputation of the domain and Mexican wine as a whole.
