Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2018 - the little brother to the Reserve. It's big youthful fruit profile and grippy tannin dominant the front palate. The length is warming and spicy with layers of bread, jam and a hint of warmth. An iconic blend from a region in the shadow of McLaren Vale and The Barossa. Don't let that put you off, Wrattonbully has some of the most interesting soil compositions in Australia. Although young compared to the other sub-regions, it still provides top quality grapes.
The really interesting fact here is about the Crayères Vineyard itself. It’s located at the top of a north-south limestone ridge. The size of the vineyard is 8 hectares and has parcels of Sauvignon Blanc also. The soil is Terra Rossa which is a characteristic of the area. The vines were planted in 2004 and 2008 and are slowly reaching their prime.
Terre à Terre is at the forefront of French styled Aussie wine. In addition, you can expect that every bottle of Terre à Terre on our site, expresses quality and value for money in a restrained style not often seen coming out of Australia.
