Res Fortes Rouge Magnums are pretty damn smart-looking bottles! 2016 Rouge is a full-bodied, super textured handcrafted red. The fruit purity here is magic, like with all Moritz’ wines. Res Fortes Rouge is a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre, it consists of 30% Grenache Noir aged in Puncheons Barrels. 30% Grenache Noir tank aged, 10% tank aged Syrah and 30% tank aged Mourvèdre.
Res Fortes is a young and fresh producer, providing easy drinking, fantastic wines straight out of Maury, France. Moritz Bak – founder of Res Fortes’ fascination with the world of wine began in the South of France with childhood summers with his wine-loving grandfather. Devoting himself to the study of wine and winemaking, he made pilgrimages to some of the world’s greatest vineyards, and when he was ready to venture out on his own, he returned to the south of France armed with both a grand wealth of knowledge and a huge vision.
Having carefully selected and nurtured his vines, he produced his first vintage in 2014. As well as the wines themselves, Res Fortes’ elegant bottles and label design prove that the most modern and sophisticated drinking experience can grow from the toughest terrain.
This wine won 2017 bronze medal winner of the prestigious San Francisco International Wine Competition! You gotta get yourself a couple!
